Two New Sites on Writing

The last couple of weeks saw the arrival of not just one but two new web resources for writers, and anyone who’s interested in writing.

The Write Network

The Write Network brings together articles and resources from a range of blogs and websites (including Confident Writing)

The Write Network

It seems like a good way to bring together ideas, tips and resources from around the web.  Plus it’s free to read… and easy to join if you run a site for writers / on writing yourself.

Websites for Writers

Websites for Writers is a new independent directory of online writing resources.  It’s the brainchild of Iain Broome, who blogs at Write for Your Life.Websites for Writers

The site looks like  a useful way to find new resources, whether you’re just starting out on your reading / blogging journey, or looking for something in particular to help with a specific writing challenge.

Submission guidelines are set out on the site, and please do contact Iain if there are sites you’d like to see included in the directory (and I guess that goes for your own too ;-) )

Other Resources

Are there any other writing sites or web resources for writers that you’d like me to feature here?

    Hi Joanna

Thank you for mentioning the site.

We have received great feedback on The Write Network and with one single vision - to help writers do things right write - we are beginning to add filters which organise articles so that they are easier to find by topic; such as blogging, copywriting, inspirations, author interviews and even a bit of writing humour (like the fantastic Will Write For Chocolate comic series) and of course lots of articles from Confident Writing.

    Thanks again for your support.

Hi Joanna. These both look like fantastic resources. I especially like the logo for Write Network. I dunno… I just have a thing for logos. “How Dreaming at Night Inspires Famous Writers” has definitely caught my attention. Thanks for bringing these to our attention.

Thanks for featuring Websites for writers Joanna.

It’s received some great feedback so far and hundreds of daily hits, which I’m dead pleased about.

The idea is to keep it user-generated, so if anyone has a site to contribute, feel free to follow the guidelines and submit it. And spread the word! Huzzah!

    Thanks again.

@ Davina well I’m glad you like the logo ;-) That post title is compelling isn’t it - I love the things comment luv serves up to entice us over to sites!

@ Iain, again, it’s thanks to you for having the initiative to get the thing up and running. It’s great to see these kind of resources being developed

@ Brad, I can imagine there’s a fair few resources on there you’ll enjoy dipping into :-)

Joanna, I’ve checked the sites that you’ve mentioned above. WoW, I loved both websites and I’ve already bookmarked it as well.

PS: Iain, I liked your website’s designation, especially the arrangement of the 125×125 banners in side-by-side. Nice job!
